Events

We conduct a wide range of open events that bring in international scientists, leaders from policy, industry and the media. We are continually looking for interesting speakers, partners and themes and are open for suggestions! These events are open to all interested participants.

In the interdisciplinary Lecture Series “The BIG questions”, senior scientists identify the open research questions in their field and give insights on future developments.

During Meet the Prof events you can network with communicative top-level international scientists visiting Kiel. Find out what they think are the top challenges in their field and what it takes to make a career in sciences.

For our Career Evenings we invite guests from industry, NGOs, as well as environmental regulators and policy-makers to provide an overview of their work and discuss their own career paths. Open, informal discussions foster personal contacts.

Workshops on key themes are periodically conducted by us in association with partners inside and out of the University.

Annual PhD Retreats are the opportunity to network with all ISOS PhDs.
