Valuing the ocean: Research aims

The goal is to include the economic aspects of the complex role of the oceans in an integrative analysis using existing knowledge. One aspect of the research will focus on the evaluation of economic costs, benefits and risks of climate change and prevention and accomodation measures. Another aspect will concentrate on the role of the oceans in an integrated "Carbon Management" and the effect of climate change on the economic utilization of the oceans from a global perspective.
