Seed money
One important goal of the Cluster is to bring relevant externally funded research projects into the Cluster.  In order to support the preparation of such proposals the steering committee would like to offer seed money for Cluster relevant projects.

Proposals for projects related to Cluster topics and with a total budget of at least 500,000 € qualify for this seed money, regardless of their duration and funding source.

The Cluster will reserve a total of 50,000€ a year for this purpose, whereby up to 10,000 € per proposal can be applied for.

All members of the Cluster and their postdocs are eligible for this funding.

These funds can be used for all measures supporting the writing of the proposal (e.g. organisation of planingn meetings, student workers, etc.).

Successful proposals which receive overheads should return the funding back to the Cluster.

Proposals for seed money can be submitted to the steering committee at any time (no deadlines!). The steering committee will decide on the basis of internal reviews of a panel chosen by the committee. Decisions on seed money proposls will be made at least once a quarter.
