Trade fairs and conferences are important forums for the transfer of technologies and knowledge from research to industry. Participation of cluster members is encouraged and supported by the Knowledge and Technology Transfer area of the Cluster of Excellence "Future Ocean".
The "Trade Fair Marketing" project is meant preferrably for young scientists, doctoral candidates and post docs of the Cluster of Excellence. They are given the opportunity to present their own technologies and new research results at commercial, international trade fairs and conferences. First contacts to industry arise through conversations at the fair and can mean a "foot in the door" for possible employment at these companies at a later date. Networking between science and industry is thus supported and a basis for possible later collaboration created.
Participants in this project, which takes place once or twice a year, receive organisational and financial support as well as personell for the planning and carrying out of their trade fair or conference visit.
